Members Phait
Wondering how I can secure my phone case to the bike's stem. There's a hole in the case where a belt clip locks in, and it fits around that bolt perfectly. My only idea is to place a washer beneath the bolt, then tighten down on the case, but I don't wanna compromise the stem tightness and lose my handlebars! Once that is on good, I'd just rubber band the phone to the case. It snaps in, but the bands would be a good extra measure.

CMS Author MikeRivers Posted April 10, 2012 CMS Author Share Posted April 10, 2012 I was going to suggest gaffer tape, but here's how I temporarily mounted my GPS in a rental car. I had made a portable mount that fit in the cassette slot of the radio in my car and then they stopped putting cassette players in rental cars. Members scarecrowbob
Just for reference, once your handlebar stem is tightened on the head tube, that head tube cap is really just there to keep crap out of the tube-- the structural integrity of the joint comes from the bolts on the side of the tube.
