Members FineLine Posted August 11, 2011 Members Share Posted August 11, 2011 I'm in the camp that doesn't. ...so then a hard-rock maple body guitar with a maple neck & maple fretboard would sound the same to you if we were to swap the neck (on the exact same axe) with a maple & ebony fretboard? Members honeyiscool Posted August 11, 2011 Members Share Posted August 11, 2011 The only Mahogany Strat type guitar I had was a neck through with a Floyd, and I have to say, the tone was quite unlike a Strat.
