Members notjonahbutnoah
It's the new pro-mod kind, which I'm assuming is pretty much just like the old kind. It is only finished in gunstock oil. I LOVE the feel of it, but the fretboard picks up dirt pretty quickly. What's the nest thing to clean that off with? I'm already pretty anal about washing my hands, keeping it in it's case, and keeping the strings clean, but still it gets dirty. I do love absolutely love this guitar though, I'd play it with poop on the fretboard if I had to. Now for some gratuitous pronography: Thanks in advance for all yer responses. Members scott944
Don't know about maple, but my arsenal for rosewood boards includes lemon oil, coarse terrycloth rags and wooden toothpicks (for the really nasty stuff).
Members notjonahbutnoah
Word, I've heard mixed reviews regarding lemon oil. I don't really know... perhaps it's time for some research.
Members Critical Ninja
When I had my Wolfgang, I used #0000 Steel Wool to clean the fretboard and the back of the neck...I always taped over my pickups first though.
Members Deadbeat Son
I would first try a damp rag (old washcloth or the like). If that doesn't work, steel wool as previously mentioned. Or you could just leave it like your strat! :poke:
