  1. I still use my old Johnson J-Station when I want to play through headphones, probably can pick one of these up real cheap nowadays...

  3. Always been a big fan of his, but the new Ace Frehley Gibson Les Pauls are ridiculously overpriced. Yes, I realize they are only making 50 of the aged/signed ones, but a $18,821 list price ($13K street price) is outrageous. The "unsigned" one is just as ridiculous: $12,235 list price ($8,700 street price). The Epiphone version looks to sell for $799, which I still think is too much for a MIC guitar...but at least it still gets DiMarzio pickups, and ebony fretboard, and the pearl-button tuners that the Gibson ones have.
  4. Sounds like the old GM way of doing things..."yeah, we'll lose thousands of dollars on every car we sell, but we'll make it up on volume!". No wonder they went bankrupt and we forced to bail out their sorry butts.
  5. Well, it's almost 11:30 pm EDT here and the RD's are now officially sold out. I know they aren't for everyone, but $699 for a Gibson that's not faded is a good deal. I have my eye on a certain Gibson at MF, hoping they'll make it a SDOTD soon...
  6. I think it has more to do with it being a pretty ugly guitar that was never particularly popular in the first place. I seldom, if ever, pass up a deal this good on a new Gibson, but this one doesn't tempt me in the slightest. I thought the eBay flippers would be all over this, guess not...
  7. Can't believe it's 8:37 pm EDT and the RD's haven't sold out yet...the economy must really be hurting...back in the old days, those would have been gone in no time. Tempted to buy one, but I don't like black and would prefer trapezoid inlays to dots.
