Members 6StringSling Posted October 12, 2011 Members Share Posted October 12, 2011 New Guitar: Samick D712 I played this one, a Seagull, a couple of Fenders and nice Guild blem (none of us could find the blem!). I settled on the Samick for the sound first, which was bright and clear, and the price second, which was $299. The Seagull was really nice with a cherry neck, back and sides, but it had a matte finish which I didn't like. It was something like $449. The two Fenders were both in the $499 range and both sounded dark and dull. The Guild was beautiful but I've never spent $800 on a guitar ($1200 for a non-blem) and I wouldn't play it enough to justify the cost. I realize that this the electric guitar forum but I'm adding some kind of Fishman or similar system to make this acoustic/electric. New Guitar Shirt: I'm 6' 5" and about 270lbs. Finding cool T-Shirts like this in a size I can wear doesn't happen very often. I found this in a shop at Seaside, OR where I just spent the weekend. Usually, the sites on the net that sell stuff like this only carry up to XL so I was lucky to find this in XXL for only $18. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
