Any of you cats have experience with these guitars? Is it possible to change out the dog-ear p90 in the bridge for a p90 sized humbucker? Have the bare natural finish which is awesome, and the P-90s sound sooo sick, I dunno why you'd wanna change them out. They're my favorite type of pickup. Members fixintogo Posted November 18, 2011 Members Share Posted November 18, 2011 I don't think you can drop a humbucker into a dog-ear P-90 body without doing some drilling and routing. Besides, a Casino without P-90s isn't a Casino, IMO. For a full hollowbody with humbuckers, get a Gretsch G5120. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've never heard one that sounds like a real P90 without noise, but there are also many SC P90s that don't sound much like real P90s. Either can certainly sound OK though.
