I love both those pickups and I put a set of 57's in my Dot (actually two different ones) and couldn't have possibly been any happier with it. The whole lifting a blanket analogy was definitely accurate. The stock pickups sound like {censored} compared to the 57 classics and I've heard plenty of guys play great things with the stock ones and love them, but its not even close to the actual Gibsons.
