Members scolfax
Will a standard Fender pickguard fit on a Squier CV Strat? Was also thinking of getting a GFS brass block. How can I tell which one to get? Would all imports use the "import" size?
Members DaleH
Yes Why not just buy the trem unit then you don't have to worry about the block fitting your plate.
Members Bro Blue
The guards will fit, some of the screw holes might not line up exactly.

Members Crisco
I can say for sure that a Dragonfire replacement pickguard will fit your strat. It fit my CV Jazz bass to a tee.All holes lined up-no problems.
Members DaleH
Sweet, thanks for the info folks! Good idea about the trem! I put my Fender stamped saddles on my GFS plate and block. Works great. You can buy the Fender mexi high mass trem with and Fender saddles for $19.25. I got mine for $14 but it looks like they went up.Nice trems. same as on the new min strats.http://www.amazon.com/Fender-Tremolo-Bridge-Assembly-Chrome/dp/B003AYRBWI

I replaced mine with the same thing Dale's recommending and it works nicely. As for PG, which CV strat do you have? Just a quick look at the 50's model and I can see that a 50's style 1 ply guard will mostly have the screw holes lined up, and for the 60's style strat, a standard 11 screw guard will work nicely.
