Members Sad Navigator
In particular, Muff-type fuzz. What do you guys dig?
Members Special J
All of them. The noisier the better. I love whatever pickups are in my 57RI strat with my ram's head muff. I've been recently digging the DeArmond in my old Kay along with a fuzz face clone.
Members Bro Blue
You are frying the signal so much with a fuzz, there is little difference. You will be able to tell the difference between low and high output. I freaking love fuzz, and it sounds great with single coils.
Members caveman
I always loved my Strat and Big Muff.
Members honeyiscool
I've never heard a pickup make a fuzz sound bad.
Members billythegoat
I like the neck pickup on my Tele. That one specifically is an alnico-5 that I pulled from a CV Telecaster.

Members Kellanium
I'm going to go with Jazzmaster Pickups. Listen to anything by My Bloody Valentine and you'll agree with me.

Members ilikeguitar90
Yeah it's hard to go wrong when it comes to single-coils with fuzz. That's like the essence of garage rock right there. That being said, it depends on the sound you're going for. Jazzmasters with fuzz is pretty much the wall of sound shoegaze sound. Old Harmony/Kay/Silvertone guitars with fuzz is the trashy garage-blues/Black Keys/White Stripes/60s fuzz sound. A strat with the knobs rolled back a bit into a vintage style fuzz is Hendrix. Just depends on what tone you're looking for. I'm a big fuzz fan, and generally like either my Classic Vibe Tele or Harmony H75 with my fuzzes. Good luck edit: specialJ, thanks for reminding me of fuzz faces. My brother has a few lying around but I've never tried using them. Definitely have to give them a whirl with my Harmony. Members J-E-M
Anything overwound should sound good. My Phatty and Strat P90 love the fuzz.
