Members Dual Trace
I bought a used Gibson Les Paul today and next on my list is a pedal that comes close to the old Marshall Supa Fuzz. I
Members D Carroll
Have one made by a local builder http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/mkII.php However, the tonebender circuit is probably my top choice in a smooth fuzz.
Members Bosrocker511
I had a Supa-fuzz, the second model. I sold it for $800 om eBay and had a local MIT guy make a clone w OC75 transistors. I have some left over. Email me if you want some. The clone sound very much like the original, and I don't know enough about electronics to know if the values of the germanium transistors or something else is the cause for the difference in sound. Members Mr.Grumpy
The circuit is practically identical to a Tonebender MkII. The input cap and distortion bypass cap are bigger on the Supa Fuzz than the Tonebender: TB uses 4.7 ?fd caps in both positions, the SupaFuzz uses 10 ?fd in both positions. Members jgyn
There're a few clones out there. I have a couple that have a switch between Mk II and Supa Fuzz sounds (Supa a little darker, more midrange, more gated.)
