Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted August 15, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted August 15, 2013 Yes about 3/16" of Macassar ebony, been playing about with the setup and playing, I've never experimented with "slap" but having recently done some work on a JB which the owner used exclusively for slap, I find the tone and technique pretty cool, but this plays so well with very low action with trad fingerstyle and pick work for Phil Lynoot moments I may just be forced to buy a SUB by Music Man for slap.
