Members AlexMC
I'm watching an RGX820Z on eBay but it doesn't have the trem arm (what do folks do with their trem arms??); can anyone recommend a new arm that will drop in, please? Members DeepEnd
Your best bet is to go to a local music store and have them find a replacement. There are at least a couple of sizes and they should have something that fits. I had to do that when I was setting up an Ibanez for a friend. As for what folks do with theirs, some of us don't use a trem and so we take the arm off. The arm for my Fernandes Strat copy stays in the pocket of the gig bag. If I thought it would fit your Yamaha I'd send it to you.
Members AlexMC
Thanks for the tip - makes sense! I was actually wondering why folks are so careless with unused arms that they no longer have them when they sell the instrument. It seems like half the guitars on eBay are armless... Members AlexMC
I wonder how easy/cheap it would be to get one made, if I knew a machine shop... it's gotta be 5 minutes work with the correct tools.
Members jpnyc
Email Guitarfetish and ask if any of their replacement arms fit.
