Members JRicoC
AXS aired a one-hour (recorded) live Iron Maiden performance prior to the show. Members Rich4Once
I thought The Long Run was really good, especially the vocals. A few guitar things were off a bit, and they had a minor trainwreck at the beginning of Already Gone, but overall, they did really well.

Members Elias Graves
What a trend. Have musical acts become so devoid of ideas that the only hope is doing remakes? Gives Led Zeppelin III a whole new meaning. Lol. We bag on Hollywood for not having any new ideas. I'll do the same for the music biz. Tribute is just a fancy word for cover. Members Malcolm Ramone
I saw 1964, the Beatles' trib back in 96. It was a free show at the beach, but they were great, recreating the whole vibe.

Members DaveAronow
Just came back from a tour, where our sound man is also the drummer for the Beatles tribute band, 1965. He is the only Beatles officially liscenced person in the world to play Ringo. Dude is a monster soundman, great guitar player, great bass player and a killer drummer. We had him sit in with us most nights of the tour.
Members DaveAronow
No, Elias, trubute bands are not just cover bands. Many of them consider themselves actors and are not only playing songs, but they are playing a part. 1964, Tje band Rolling Stone called the best Beatles tribute ever, has done thousands of shows since they started and have made very good livings at it. It is not a bad thing, or a band running out of ideas. Some of them really love what they do and some do very well, because apparantly, there are enough people out there that consider what they do valuable enough that the musicians can actually have great careers. Unless they physically wrote the song by themselves or had a part in it, every member of every band in the world is playing a cover tune., some people are amazing players without a shred of creativity or ability to ever write much of anything, but they are great players nonetheless. Guess you don't like classical music much, because it is the same old tired two hundred year old music it was when it was new. Musicians still love to play it, spend lifetimes studying it and strangely pepple still go to hear it. I hope you don't consider all those people wasting their time. Members JRicoC
Bonfire was excellent. Probably the best show to date. The guitarists did a superb job with the signature tones, riffs, and attack. Only low point was their doing a Johnson song (You Shook Me All Night Long), but the singer redeemed himself with bagpipes on "It's A Long Way ..."
