Members Grayson73
Hi, I've narrowed my choices to the following: Pearl P1000 ($99)Pearl P-2000C ($119)Ludwig Speed King ($119)Tama Iron Cobra HP900F ($125)Tama Iron Cobra HP900P ($129)Tama Iron Cobra HP900R ($129) I'll be using this with a Pearl Export kick with Aquarian Super Kick II and Aquarian Regulator heads. Which would you buy?
Members Sytubs
Well, considering you have a round cam, strap, chain drive accelerator cam and direct drive that's not narrowed down at all. There is a wide range of feel there, and the only way is to try them.
Members Grayson73
The drumset is shared among multiple drummers of various skill levels and we are not planning to buy separate kick pedals for each drummer. What is the best guess as to which would be the best for us?
Members MattACaster
I would say go with the Iron Cobra Power Glide.
Members Nick the DSM
I would say go with the Iron Cobra Power Glide. aye, +
Members Sytubs
The power glide is probably the most popular pedal, at least in the group it is. It's pretty universal for most styles.
Members 2xBass
I'm looking for a pedal for my Export as well, between the IC and the Axis What is the difference between the Power Glide and Rolling Glide

Members Sytubs
What is the difference between the Power Glide and Rolling Glide Primarily, the cam. Rolling glide= round, linear action, power glide= offset cam/accelerated action.
Members BUYDRUMGEAR.COM
Hi,I've narrowed my choices to the following:Pearl P1000 ($99)Pearl P-2000C ($119)Ludwig Speed King ($119)Tama Iron Cobra HP900F ($125)Tama Iron Cobra HP900P ($129)Tama Iron Cobra HP900R ($129)I'll be using this with a Pearl Export kick with Aquarian Super Kick II and Aquarian Regulator heads.Which would you buy? I would go with the Iron Cobra HP900R (Rolling Glide) hands down. The rolling cam is quite nice. All of the independant adjustments that you can make are great for dialing it in to fit your needs. By the way the Superkick II's are awesome!
Members boxofrocks
Out of those choices I would give the speed king a try. It's a good pedal. It has a heel plate that you can flip around, it sticks up a bit, you can kick it with your heel and rock up to your toes to get solid steady kick rolls. Members qwertyMan
The Pearl will be the most versatile, due to the different cams included with the pedal.
Members Kevin K Is A OK
iron cobra power glide. everything else out there is pointless and {censored}ty.
Members polarnewfie
IRON COBRA!!!!!if there are several people gonna be using this pedal, I would have to give the durability factor and range of adjustment to the Iron Cobra. This is indestructible and if it never breaks, there will be no arguments over who has to replace it, vs wear and tear/percentage of use/liability issues. Plus its just a great feeling pedal
Members 9 stroke roll
Hmm, I think you should try them all. Sometimes the most loaded equipment isn't the most comfortable.
Members drumtechdad
iron cobra power glide. everything else out there is pointless and {censored}ty. Well, that settles that, then.
Members FAdumz
In my opinion, you should go with one of the iron cobras. They are the highest quality pedal for their price. As for the discussion of if you should go with rolling or power glide, I would go with power glide. I think it offers more feel, and can generate more power if needed. Members qwertyMan
Really, try them out before you buy them. Each pedal will have a different feel. Don't buy something just because everyone else likes it, because it is not guaranteed that you will like it.

Members marko46
Try 'em all as said. But, I will say I've owned the IC's, Dbl. PG, and use a single for the blues band. Great pedal IMO. But as I said, try the others. I'm sure each has their good points and aren't say.................... {censored}ty.
Members MnL
My vote's in for the pearl. I'm always happy with pearl hardware, and their pedals are actually top notch. I'd say it's very versatile and adjustable, and what with the ability to change between the six cams available (4 included I think, and two extra), and also between strap and chain drive...I think it's perfect for someone who doesn't know exactly what they want.
