Members troyri
Our drummer had a Ddrum kick trigger go bad a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't find anything in stock except a Simmons (stick on type from GC). He runs an Alesis DM5 with the drums. We always had a great kick sound but when we put the simmons on we started getting a clicking (for lack of a better term) coming through the main FOH after the actual trigger fired the subs (not a double trigger). We have messed with a few things but as soon as we get any volume on the kick this extra noise come in. Any ideas?
Members 1001gear
Just guessing at it; is it the trigger, the sample, or the audio ? Bad trigger, corrupted sample obviously, but there might be a low level delay in the audio replaying the click. Or not.
Members SYMBOLIC
If I had to guess, I'd say that the problem is in the PA. The type of trigger doesn't have anything to do with the sound that is triggered.
