Members FitchFY
That twist is a cool looking finish. Oddly, it makes the drums seem bigger to me.

They sound a little less warm and have more projection than the regular collectors series due to the 7&8 ply maple shells. The 6x10 tunes a little higher than I'd like. The 6x10 is clean and sweet and the 9x13 tunes low enough for good separation. 8x10/11x14 would be perfect. The 5x12 snare is absolutely fantastic. 14x16 bass is usable but is lacking due to the stock DW/Remo heads. Needs a GMAD for that warm, deep, fat, round thump. I'm using G1 coated batter/reso on the toms. G1 coated/hazy 300/puresound c16's on the snare. I'll have to work with the muffling on the stock heads until Evans makes 16" BD heads.
