Members bloeff
Hi everybody, Back again. I took a break from Spem in Alium and recorded this work. This is me singing all the parts. Let me know what you think. Thanks,Bruce
Members DukeOfBoom
sounds like an entire chorus. i didnt realize people (other than my vocal teacher) actually sang that sort of stuff these days. but sounds good and like it took a long time. Members stickman393
Really sweet sound. Are you using auto-tune? (No offence intended, genuinely interested.) Edit: Ok, at 1:40 or so I can't believe that's not assisted. Still, nice work.
Members bloeff
Hey guys,Thanks for the compliments. That's definitely an assist on the high C! My falsetto is good but not that good! I applied a pitch shift of a couple of notes to get it up there. Other than the pitch shift and some reverb, no other effects are applied. Thanks again,Bruce
Members DukeOfBoom
are these words you're singing or just sounds? what do they mean? i'm guessing it's not "i wanna hump you all night long"
Members bloeff
Hey Duke, Your guess is correct. The words are Latin and from Psalm 51.
Members vanessaleemt
This sounds really good. It sounds like a gospel choir, except you're doing it alone. It makes me feel at peace. How many parts are there? And how many takes did you take to finish this?? I'm amazed. I'm too lazy to do so many parts hahaha. And yeah, I could hear the reverb effect cos of the slight echo-y effect. But still really awesome harmonizing between the parts!
Members bloeff
Hi Vanessa, Thanks for the compliment. There is a 5 part choir and a 4 part choir. The parts that required the most takes were the high soprano parts. Although I was singing in falsetto and using a pitch shift, it requred a lot of experimenting to get a sound that didn't sound too strained or like Alvin the Chipmunk!
