Members der oxenrig
He uses 4x12s & 4x15s. The way he EQs it allows for maximum midrange grind & snarl. With that much distorsion, you can't have that much bottom end without farting.
Members Reverend179
To answer the original question, it came from the VH1 "Classic Albums" for Ace of Spades. They had him set up with an Ampeg SVT and 8x10 and his Marshall on his other side.

I haven't heard 15's yet that can beat the 90's Trace Elliotts. Yup, our local guitar center blows, don't it?

Members Reverend179
Well, it was closer to 'the first thing you can do is get that piece of {censored} out of here', but you were close.

Yep, but now that I'm driving I'll never buy anything there again. Bill's Music House actually has things that are useful to musicians other than guitarists and don't take forever to mail order everything. The only reason I've shopped there was because I could get a ride there.

I'm going to see what they have there, as the last time I was there, I wasn't playing bass at the time.
Members Sixgun77
Do they still have a good selection of bass tab books there? It's been about 2 years since I've been there.
Members Narcosynthesis
when lemmy did the first motorhead album, the label he showed it to though there wasnt any bass on teh record at all, because he played it so much like a guitar (he was the guitarist in hawkwind) probably explains most of his tone David
