Members lowbasslowbass
Can a Nano Head by ZVEX power a 1x10 Randall Iso Box and sound good? Thank you for your replies.
Members bassplayinguy
i doubt anyone has acutally tried that combination, but isnt the ISO box a guitar cab anyways? if you asking from a guitar point of view, youre in the wrong forum but i have heard the nano head thru a 4x12 sounds really nice

Members Ender_rpm
That would sound killer for a 2nd channel. DI the Iso in parallel with your normal rig, and bring it in and out with a volume pedal. You just have to get a sound guy that doens;t mind using 2 channels "just" for bass:)
Members lowbasslowbass
I haven't tried it live, mostly because it is big and heavy. But it is great for recording. I am looking to power it with something nice. This is why I am interested in the Zvex Nano Head. Any ideas more than welcome. Thank you.
Members Narcosynthesis
i think i replied in the effects forum, but if the iso box is the same as a normal cab, then the nano will work fine the nano is exactly the same as a normal head, just a lot smaller, and will easily push a 4x12 or whatever David

Members fretless
those things are cool , I would love to try it on bass , but I was wondering how much clean tone that would put out as I thought it was mostly for cranking up with a guitar , you will have to let us know how it works out , I think with that cab any amp would work though , I have a cheap ass Sovtek amp @ 50 watts it's pretty loud but it records well at a very low volume too . Members fureybass
The point of a NanoHead is to get full tube saturation at non-ear shattering volume. So it's gonna be mushy like tube amp should. It's a recording amp. If you want full tube distortion at decent levels that you can stay in the same room, it's perfect. Couple it with an ISO Box and you may be able to record in an apartment.
