Members boy#152 Posted August 18, 2005 Members Posted August 18, 2005 even when I play it in the middle betweeen the pus. it's a mosrite copy univox ;'hyflier', so cool. sounds grate, but it makes a cruddy noise iffen I puck the string too hard. anyone esle have this problem>?I rock pretty hard, fyi:cool: rbtv - trut telling so pure, like a virgin's ass-pipe:mad:
Members j powell Posted August 18, 2005 Members Posted August 18, 2005 electrical tape over the pickups will fix that if the poles are exposed. i did this to my g&l since when i get fired up on stage i tended to smack the poles, making a "click" that got soundmen angry. the upshot is that it looks a lot better without the big exposed poles!

Members Fran da Man Posted August 18, 2005 Members Posted August 18, 2005 Is lowering the pickup out of the question?
Members PaulyWally Posted August 18, 2005 Members Posted August 18, 2005 Why don't you just raise the action? Or lower the pickups (if you can)? Or ease up on the strings a little bit?

No. A good example is Bartonini pups. Most of them are blade stye but the use a plastic covering because at one time blades were (incorrectly) thought to be inferior to polls.

Members D Aussie Posted August 19, 2005 Members Posted August 19, 2005 yep.. tape.clear sticky will even do the job. course you could also raise the action or drop the p./u
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted August 19, 2005 CMS Author Posted August 19, 2005 Turn up the amp and play lighter. Your fingers won't get fatigued, your tone will improve, and you won't have to {censored} with the pickups or action.
Members boy#152 Posted August 19, 2005 Author Members Posted August 19, 2005 I hate to {censored} wit the set-up, as it feels so cool strung low. I habe medium hands (huge cock, fyi) and I like it low...the pu's maybe could go lower. I will try the tape idea, and playin softer like a gay boy. thanks. rbtv all mature like Plato:cool:
