Members tdempsey
First note of first song, second set. POP. Then nothing, no tone. Overiding the active to attempt to play passive didn't work - hoping it was just a battery. The input jack had started to come unglued from the bass body.Like a dope I ignored it. This is why you always bring a second bass, no matter how rushed you are loading your gear. That is all. Oh yeah, and I have nothing to believe in anymore. Gear-wise that is. Electronics always fail some day.
Members fretless
probably was a jack , this is fairly common as this takes alot of abuse / stress ,I have replaced a few jacks over the years , I have also seen them loosen and in a tight cavity it would slide over and ground out to the body and go dead . I thought it has a nut that holds it in the cavity , should be a easy fix .
Members M-1 Fan
That same thing happened to me and the Thumb neck through I had. The output jacks on those are those stupid ass self-contained modular pieces of {censored}. I had to get rid of it. Maybe you got mine.
Members fretless
I think I have changed like 3 or 4 of those self contained types , the cable plug stretches them out and there is no way to bend them back .
Members tdempsey
Thanks for the replies gang, it's somehow comforting that it's a fixable design flaw. Still, I feel like a real dope for underestimating the symptom... but I can save face cause I always bring a spare bass.

But if a signer loses his voice, he has nothing to back up with. Anyway, it's scary that a Warwick could do that. After all, it's Warwick.
Members MrJoshua
I replaced the input jack on my Warwick. It wouldn't hold the cable securely, and it would wiggle around loose and occassionally short out. I put a Peavey jack in it and it's been fine for years now. Members james on bass
This post reminds me of one of my Warwicks, a Thumb 6 NT. It had a jack problem as well, though it was intermittant. And that was around 1993 when they were still a small hand-crafted company.
Members Incubitabus
anyone know of a place you can pick up one of those locking jacks? Liek the ones on Ibanez BTB's...
