Members ZenMoto
My classic rock / oldies cover band is going to put together a couple of CD's of break time filler music for mid-show breaks and we want to put a few disco type dance tunes on it to get the room dancing more...Some people were asking for the "Hustle" song that you always see people line dancing to at weddings, etc...I thought it was a Stevie Wonder tune but I can't find it on i-tunes...Any 70's boogie generation people out there know which tune I'm talking about ?...Need the artist and song title. Members ZenMoto
Nope...That's not the one I'm looking for...The song's not called "The Hustle" but the dance is...The song has a Stevie Wonder vibe with a synth groove.

Members Perfessor
That's the problem. They all look familiar to me. Danced to all of them, too, at one time or another.

You may be confusing it with the electric slide! The Chorus features a shout of "It's Electric!" which, if unfamiliar, might sound like "Do the Hustle!" Members Richie Mcdonald
As far as i know Van McKoy did the hustle, electric boogie is reggae, Marcia Griffiths who recorded the song was shocked upon arrival in America to see people dancing to it so much so that she had to learn the steps as it is danced differently in her native country
Members kcrichard
Their arrangement of The Hustle is freaking outstanding!"Avoid the individuality trapcoordinate your steps and CLAPTake a walk on the wild sideAnd the African-American women sing:Do the Hustle" The first time I heart their lounge-version of Stairway to Heaven (with Tiny Tim on vocals) I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants.
