Members kayak
Which would be a better choice for an SX SJB-75C, the original BadAss, or the BadAss II, and why?

The BAII is a direct replacement for fender style bridges, the BA I is not. Originally it was seen as a replacement mainly for Gibson bridges though never a direct replacement. Members Glyder
The BadAss III is available now so I would go with that. No having to cut the string slots as they're already done for you. http://www.bestbassgear.com/badass-bridge-iii.htm
Members Thumper
I'd recommend a Gotoh 201 in lieu of the Badass. They're $30 for the chrome version at Warmoth. I'm putting one on my SX Jazz this week.

I'm tempted to get one for the SX I'm attempting to sneak past my wife.

Members jbryant8159
I've put 2 BA-II bridges on 2 different SX basses and they were a direct fit. Holes lined up perfectly. Setup and intonation was easy, even on my BEAD downtuned one. Never tried the Gotoh but, they look like nice bridges also.
Members Crescent Seven
The Badass V (five string version of the II), was NOT a direct fit. It was very close, but it did not line up with all of the holes. That said, I've heard lots of people say that it was indeed a direct fit for the 4 string. Sorry for wasting the last 30 seconds of your life.C7
