tell me about sweetpea!! what kind of bass is that? it looks delicious!

my basses go by-

'78 peavey patriot- "the red-headed step child" (because i beat it to death and haven't looked at it since)

'75 fender jazz bass- "clarence" (clarity of tone inspired that)

'06 musicman stingray 5- "the wife" (it's my baby) or "dr. zaius" (i have no idea why)

Sweetpea (named after our very own forumite) is a custom bass assembled by Frank Bolaers.

It has a 5 piece wenge/maple neckthru, maple wing, phenolite fretboard, poplar burl top on body and head.

Sperzel tuners, a pair of Di Marzio Alchemy humbuckers and ABM individual bridges.

Controls are volume, push/pull passive tone, parallel/series switch, pickup balance. Passive electronics.

Not much more to say, other than it's the best fretless bass in existence.
