That's the thing about Alembics...a new one will cost you 6-20 grand but a used will cost you 800.00-3 grand max. Spoliers normally don't go over 1k. I owned one and got it for just over 700.00. Were it a newer Series 1 or 2, yeah. They do have some much more reasonably priced basses but the ones we always hear about are the very pricey ones.
