Lots of insane people think they're fine. Point 2 is unprovable. You can't say you'd never get angry enough to kill until you're on your deathbed. Point 3 is a gross simplification. You've just tarred any soldier who kills during an offensive as a lunatic. Point 4 is why it's a good thing you don't serve in a legislative capacity. I vaguely remember skimming over this in a criminology class. Just because you are insane doesn't necessarily make you a candidate for the insanity plea, and vice versa. I think you can be found "guilty though insane" in Minnesota. It's a weird part of the law that varies depending on the state in which you're tried. I clearly lack the mental capacity(or sanity) to sufficiently control my emotions. point 3 is supposed to be simplistic, and you clearly have no idea what I do for a living. point 4. you are probably right.
