Members The Admiral
I was not sure about getting a GK head, but some people talked me into looking into them, and I LOVE my 1001rbiII. Powerfull, clear, cuts through the mix, lightweight, beats everything Ive played, including my old 76 Ampeg vb4. They have a really nice demo setup where you can try different amp/ cab combonations, try it, I did at Guitar Center.

Members sunburstbasser
I think it'd work good for metal. For blues you can get the big smooth sound if you want, something like Tommy Shannon's tone on some records. I'd like to get another one someday. Members T. Alan Smith
Are we talking GK 400/700/800/1001 amps or Backline? +1...if you want GK, get real GK(400/700/800/1001RB). They are humongously great amps.
Members Hotblack
I'm not a fan of the GK sound, but they are solid, dependable amps.
Members Mogwix
I saw my GK 2001RB sitting in L&M and figured hey, why the hell not. Never looked back for even a second, I adore this amp.
Members NSPBass
I played a couple of GK amps at GC a couple of weeks ago, and the best way to describe them seems to be "clear". The tone seemed clear and very articulate. A friend of mine is a speed demon and I wish he could afford one of those. They'd do very well for him. I, on the other hand, don't need something that clear. MY ashdown works well right now. I'm looking to upgrade to either a GK or a GB sometime, though. nspbass

Members ministryoflower
I keep the 800rb as backup to the SVT now, but worked it relentlessly with not 1 problem for many years of service.

Without your GK you wouldn't be playing shows getting the ladies!
