Members lowndown
I know older Squier basses are pretty decent, but are the MIK (Korea) - early 90s model ones any good?
Members gretschzildjian
Got a MIJ P-bass myself, if those are comparable to the Korean ones. Hardware is of less quality but sounds fine to me.
Members ZedsDead
Personally, I think the new Squires are better then the old ones. The new vintage series, with Duncan pups, play and sound great! Now, I just bought a late '80s MIM Fender Jazz bass for $200.00. The previous owner put American Pickups in it and the thing plays and sounds great. The neck is a little thicker then newer Jazz basses and I love it. Much better quality then current MIMs imho. Members garytees
My only experience with a Korean Squier was a "Squier ll" precision which was pretty crappy. Maybe is was just the model.

Members Billy-B
I have a late 80's MIK, just about when the Squiers were moved to Korea. I suspect that it was MIJ and assembled in Korea, as it is that nice (just a guess on my part, tho). If it was made in Korea, they did a very nice job. If you have a line of something relatively cheap, I'd pick it up. Billy-B

Members Noise...
For $90, I doubt you'd find anything better. I can't speak on their quality, but for $90 it's not like you'd be expecting MIA quality anyway. Pics?
