Old Squier Basses

Personally, I think the new Squires are better then the old ones. The new vintage series, with Duncan pups, play and sound great!

Now, I just bought a late '80s MIM Fender Jazz bass for $200.00. The previous owner put American Pickups in it and the thing plays and sounds great. The neck is a little thicker then newer Jazz basses and I love it. Much better quality then current MIMs imho.

I have a late 80's MIK, just about when the Squiers were moved to Korea. I suspect that it was MIJ and assembled in Korea, as it is that nice (just a guess on my part, tho). If it was made in Korea, they did a very nice job.

If you have a line of something relatively cheap, I'd pick it up.

Yup, well, I just picked it up for $90 - fitted with Bartolini pups too!
