It sounds like he has a strong understanding of something but can't really articulate it, which I think comes from this "joy" he is trying to discuss. Sometimes I'll get super excited about something and have the same physical sensations he is talking about, but it's hard to describe what's going on so people listening get confused about what you are excited about.
