Members stereo Posted March 26, 2007 Members Share Posted March 26, 2007 I purchased a Ashdown Mag 600 amp. I love the tone butit doesnt sound any louder than the 200W Hartke that it replaced. The mag is almost three times the power. I am running the amp through a Avatar 112 @ 4 ohm. Should'nt the mag sound much louder? Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions......... That and perceived loudness isn't linear - in other words, a 600W amp won't be 3 times as loud as a 200W amp. OTOH, you'll have significantly more headroom.
