It wasn't the cheery, bubbly Ninja Turtles of my youth, ut a slightly darker, Batman-ish thing. The animation was decent, and the story........well, a little silly. BG hit the nail on the head, it is to the cartoon series what Batman Begins was to the original movies. Which is fine for me, as I loved the original B&W comics. If I had only saved them... Late 80's, city in decay, all that Eastman and Laird helped put this movie together, so the original vision was preserved.
