Members Darkstorm
In that price range nothing. B&W, PSB, Energy, make some nice budget price subs. (Real subs go down to 20 Hz or lower, fake ones dont even go down to 40Hz). Lowest price I've ever seen on real sub is about $350, ussually price is more around $500 for good budget range sub. Members BeeTL
Elemental Design A little more, but a much better value than you'll find at a big box or boutique, brand new and Made in the USA.
Members LanEvo
The fastest, tightest, most neutral subwoofers I've ever heard are the ones made by HSU Research. There are better subs on the market, but none at anywhere near this price-range.
Members rcz
you could get a used B&W ASW600 in your price range if you're patient. as with all things ebay and craigslist, patience is the key. a lack of patience is the chief reason why good deals are so hard to find on ebay these days. robb. Members Neonfacelift
I know you're looking for down firing, but it you decide to expand your options, check out the BIC Acoustech H-100. It's a 500w 12 inch sub. It's a budget company that I've only ever seen on ebay, but these are great subs. The guys over at AVS forum love them. They have a buy it now of $245, but they'll usually take $200 if you offer it. (That's what I got mine for.) The seller is sound distributors.
