Members Jazz Ad
Better to ask 'Who has not had experience with a TKO or TNT?' Those amps are like P-basses. Everyone has played one, and many still do. They sound great, are dirt cheap used, and are heavy as f*ck. +1. If you're over 30, you have played TKOs and TNTs. Good old workhorses, seen in every rehearsal room and only choice for reasonnably priced usable combo at some point, long before Behringer years. These amps were not meant to get you the true sound of your bass or whatever is in the hip today. The idea was to get you heard whatever happens, even with limited power. They do. Members T. Alan Smith
The TNT has been known as a noob amp because historically, it's been the most affordable amp that will get you heard in a loud band situation, so a lot of kids and intermediate players grab em. Because of their bullet proof reliability, people tend to keep using them for years...especially as beater rigs(throwing in the back of the van to be shoved around at rehearsal rooms and playing dive bars.
