At worst some patches will lack a little bottom end as they roll off the lows as they aren't designed to push those frequencies. It can be easily compensated with EQ, even adding EQ as an effect in a given patch. Most of my pedals are intended for guitar, hasn't slowed me down yet. And I am extremely effects happy.
