Anyone familiar with this town? I'm heading there for a familt get together next week, and wondering about restaurants, and other good things that might be there. Anyone have any info?

Ruidoso is a beaufitul mountain town. Don't expect Santa Fe-like New Mexico, though. It is more like little Texas!

Havins said that there is a beautiful resort there Inn of the Mountain Gods, and cool restaurants along the main street. Enjoy the mountains and great scenery.

Ruidioso is a bit of a drive to San Antonio, NM at least an hour. But if you are jonesin' for a green chile cheeseburger, they are legendary!

Cloudcroft is a cool mountain town not too far away. Go to the Lodge, a Bavarian style hotel. The saloon has a wood bar that as brought from Chicago, used to belong to Al Capone!
