Is having the 3 way toggle towards the bridge parallel?

I'm going to have to buy a 3 way switch, because mine is hard wired parallel.

Looks like the wiring/soldering in general is rather sloppy in there anyway.

I'm throwing on a set of DR Lo-Riders, and doing a complete re-setup.

DR Lo Riders are the way to go man, that's all I use on both of mine :thu:

One thing to check is if the pickup the guy put in is 3 coil i.e. if it has a dummy coil on the bottom. If it is, then it should be compatible with a 3 way switch. The switch selects parallel/single/series going from bridge/middle/neck in terms of switching.

The Lo-Riders are quite a bit more mellow then the D'Addarios that were on there.

So you're saying I can't do the 3 way switch if the pickup is only two coils?

Or will it just be noisy in single mode?

Just from checking the Seymour Duncan website, it looks more like the Alnico or Ceramic pickup. Rather then the 3 coil version. :o

I'm not sure. To see if it's a 3 coil, you need to look at the bottom. You should see a dummy coil like this:

If not, it's probably a standard humbucker. You might still be able to wire it up to a 3 way switch, but I'm not sure...
