Members sunburstbasser
I'll be in the Seattle area from September 16th to the 21st. Anyone fancy a little meetup of sorts? I'll be in Everett, specifically.
Members dedpool1052
i'm in the seattle area. i have the 18th/19th off and there's some basses i'd like to try out at bass northwest.
Members sunburstbasser
I'll definitely be visiting Bass NW. The online photos make that place look like it has more basses than this area has people.
Members dedpool1052
Bass NW does have quite a few basses but i do remember the place feeling a little cramped due to all the gear.
Members sunburstbasser
Sounds like my kind of place. I'll send you a PM when I get out there to figure out a time. Anyone else in Seattle?
Members GreaserMatt
I'm in south seattle, but I'll me working... bassnw is pretty cool; if you get a chance, check out the trading mucisian or georgetown music; actually, emerald city guitars is just a couple blocks towards the water from bass nw, & Jay (the owner) is a really cool guy... not sure how many basses he has, but his guitar/amp selection kicks ass... Members vincentpghpa
I took a long break from this place (and from music) but I came back to HC today. I'll be moving to everett at the end of october. Looking forward to it and real happy I found out about bass NW!
Members MahaloVision
In Everett, drop by Tommy's Guitar Shop. It's right across the street from the Comcast Arena. Very small, but some cool stuff, and definitely a cool owner. Emerald City is great and recommended. They do have some funky basses, including a Gretsch that I've never heard of, and some old Fenders. Mostly known for guitars and amps, and truth be told I've got a guitar down there on consignment. Trading Musician is worth checking out. Not so sure about American Music in Fremont, but that used to be really nice. There's a classical guitar shop down in greenwood that might be worth looking into called "Rosewood Guitar". If you're into that kind of thing. Definitely Bass NW, though. I live in Everett, and it's a good time to move here. Downtown Seattle is not that far away, and it's even easier by bus than you might think. Parking is not as bad as the guys from Portland might lead you to believe.
Members groutt
I'm in south Everett, but don't actually get to the "Big City" much. I'm not around much this weekend, but if I am and there is a meetup, I would. And I've never been to Bass NW.
Members sunburstbasser
I'm not sure I'll be able to do any meetup. Everything is a bit spur of the moment. Thanks for the cool suggestions though.
Members vincentpghpa
I'm in lake stevens. That's about 8 minutes bike ride from Everett. Why the hell would anyone want to go to everett? I know it's a little better than Lake Stevens but still not fun. I'm down for jamming if you are. Members vincentpghpa
Oh, I'm in the minority but don't bother with Bass NW. There is way too much high end gear to where you can't even walk around and the people there are better than yopu. They don't mind letting you know it no matter what you try to play, look at or test.
