I'm in a punk/alt rock band called Dented Personality. I play lead guitar, and we also have a singer/guitar player, drummer, and bass player/backing vox. We're from Essex, VT; VT has an awful music scene, haha.

We write originals, and have just released our first self-titled album. (http://www.myspace.com/dentedpersonality for music)

We have a lot of different influences (alt. rock, punk rock, metal, classic rock, rock n' roll; pretty much any kind of rock music) and come from different musical backgrounds. We have been compared to the Violent Femmes, Velvet Underground, early White Stripes, Green Day, and apparently a lot of other bands.

We're working on a new album and might try to tour this summer, so check us out and look for more from DP.

Hi there! My name's Tim, and I play in a duo called David Lee. We both play guitar, bass, sing, but sequence our keys (for shame!) because we're not very proficient in playing keys. We're originally from Merrimack, New Hampshire, but now located in Boston and sometime in the near future New York.

We play largely pop rock based stuff, mixed with heavy jazz and blues influence, though with a little grunge, punk and alt rock mixed in for good measure. We just released our first full fledged album over the summer, which you can check out the entire thing over at its Band Camp page:

http://davidlee.bandcamp.com/

...or you can get some acoustic performances on our YouTube page:

http://www.youtube.com/davidleeband

Unfortunately, I'm the only one featured in the videos for now (lazy bum!), but we'll figure into changing that soon. We've also got a Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/...41804222501679 ) though that's only more out of necessity than anything else. No full fledged website yet, still working on that.

I also wanted to thank you guys here at Harmony Central for being amongst the most helpful resources we've had when it came to releasing our album. We've gotten hooked up with copyright registration, ISRCs, proper album artwork, semi-proper online distribution, and all that other jazz, so thanks guys!

Anyway, I gots me some questions and I'll be looking to hear some of your advice in the near future!

Hey...checking in from Baton Rouge, Louisiana...

Been lurking around the site for a few years now, and I check in from time to time..

Anyhow....been playing with these guys for the past 2 years. We've had a pretty successful run so far, done a lot of opening gigs, but have done a fair amount of headlining. We play rockabilly, and some old school country, and occasionally western swing. We recently had to replace our upright bassist, and are having to retool a bit, but we'll be back on track soon...

Anyhow...here's our info....

My band, Retrojet, just played our first gig last Saturday at a Halloween party. 80's hard rock covers. We still have some work to do, but we're looking forward to working hard and getting some more opportunities soon.

And here's our FaceBook page

Anyways, been lurking here for months soaking up all the info I can get, and look forward to getting more pointers as we go along!

Hey guys check out my new "band." I'd been writing some of these songs for a long time and finally had a chance to work with a singer and record some quick demos. The drums are just the beats on my RC-50 Loop station but I leave for 6 months of travelling this week and didn't have the time to do real drums. I hope to get some done next year. All the lyrics and music were written by me and I had a friend provide the vocals. And all the songs guitar parts can be played live with my loop station.

Greetings all - here's my musical projects:

Dimaension X - all instrumental rock/free-jazz-fusion/ambient/classical/metal, etc.

http://dimaensionxblog.blogspot.com

Burn Without Me - experimental, all instrumental progressive grindcore-ish

http://sites.google.com/site/burnwithoutme/

Moroghor - spacey, atmospheric "black" doom metal

http://sites.google.com/site/moroghor/

I've also just joined a new band, which is still un-named, playing punk rock/metal, somewhere between the Sex Pistols, Motorhead, and Entombed. I'll update info on this band as it develops.

Hello, this is William Wolfe from Bangkok, Thailand. My band is Brimstone Fist, and you can have a listen at http://www.myspace.com/brimstonefist. For twenty years I have been working to fuse the classic rock sound with elements of extreme metal, blues and prog rock. Lyrically it's pretty dark stuff.

I am interested in learning as much as I can about the music business, releasing a cd and becoming a member of the Church of Keith Richards.

Hey guys, my name is Adam MacArthur and I am the rhythm guitarist of a local metal band by the name of Psychosis Asylum. We are a 5 person group that plays originals and we hail from Southern California. (Lancaster specifically)

Our sound is a blending of many different things but the most glaring genres are death and thrash metal. Some parts have jazz rhythms and whatnot, and we are always trying to find new sounds to incorporate into our style.

The world would be a happier place if we all joined the Church of Keith Richards (although it might also be a bit drunker... - sorry. I have sinned.)

Hi , i'm David , a band dad ( sorta sound guy ) for the " Old Memphis Kings". My sons the lead the guitar but thier all my kids.

We're in the Black Prairie side of mississippi so we loves our blues. These guy were put together by the most selfless man i've ever met Mr Willie Earl King. They named themselves "Old Memphis" after the small community where Willie lived , but when Willie introduced them He added King's , so Old Memphis Kings it is.

Old Memphis Kings " Killin Floor"

My son also plays the Howlin Wolf Fest each year with a throw together bunch called the " Black Prarie Blues Kings"

My name is Josh, I'm 19 and Im from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Im in a band called the Scarlett Fever. Were a four piece cover band playing the "party"bars. We gig very often and get a good response from our crowds. I play Acoustic guitar and sing backing vocals. We are a young, energetic, hard hitting, ball crushing band with a very unique sound for a cover band. All of our members sing, and we do a huge variety of covers.
