Members rangefinder
Hell, they're ALL stupid around here. At least some of the ones you posted are coherent.
Members toober
I hate the ones I reply to and I'm 'not a good fit' for whatever reason, and they keep posting the SAME AD. If they never try to improve their ad response, why would anyone think they would improve their playing?
Members rangefinder
Actually my favorite ones are from some dude down in Scranton PA who keeps posting "AC/DC tribute band just needs a Brian Johnson", "Journey tribute band just needs a Steve Perry", etc. etc. He posts a new impossible-to-fill spot every month or so. Weird. His latest is looking for KISS members, where you get the privilege of paying $500 for a costume if you want to try to join his (imaginary) lineup. Members RoadRanger
Woo! " join the band () willing to make the big move. Anything you might have contribute would be great this should be a team effort like family. Would you like to focus all your efforts on your work(meaning music creation) well me too. Sick of doing jobs that I dont enjoy to make ends meet. Of course we need a place to work, transportation a place to shower, a place to sleep and tools of the trade. Be ready to hustle practice everyday study. Money is not really my main consern but it is a necessary tool and this is a business. I recommend we live together that way we dont need to come up with as much money for basic needs. Money should be split first taking care of necessity then wants. I know personally I would like to own a small farm and some acreage but all things in due time. I dont want to be rushed. Nor am I a communist but I want to bring you in as family. I want to set this up to where we only need to bring in a couple hundred dollars a person for basic needs to allow more time for practice. Keeping a focus on a common goal sacrafices need to be made by all members. If you are able to live this lifestyle then we already have our own recording studio of course we can add to it for a lifetime. Would like to put together a group of four people at least. One person I want to focus strictly on drums, I play guitar and I would like that to be my main focus. I am self taught. Doesnt matter how good or bad you think you are we should be constantly learning and growing. I will donate my computer for recording purposes should be good enough. Be ready to quit your day job we just need to hustle enough money for basics. this is a full time job and commitment. If you panhandled a couple hours a day it would be enough to keep us going. I will also panhandle if I need to. We should all be given new names and a new family name which will be the name of our band. Loners more than welcome because you are an individual and a thinker. All talents welcome If you cant sing then I will rap or both because it will be part of what will make us unique as a group. I also have a bass guitar I will donate to the right person. Male or female be ready to travel I got a little money saved too but it wont last long couple months tops. Make an effort to do your part and I will do the same. All money made first goes into the business then the rest will be evenly split between all members that is money made as a group what you make in your time is yours but we need to set up a monthly donation that all members must attempt to contribute to keep things fair. Like union workers we must pay our dues. I think 300 a month should be more than enough for four people I am full of ideas to make extra cash on the side. That will be 600 a month for just two people but includes all necessities. Just in case you are the first one to join. Also if you can think of anything else that I havent brought up to make this work then please let me know"
Members rangefinder
OK I couldn't let this one pass by: "Nd Ld Singer, Ld Gtr, Keys, 4 Funk/Rock/Country/Soul Band" (They have the rhythm section, how hard could it be to find that other stuff?) They'll be doing "originals, covers, and standards" (to maximize the time commitment). Everybody has to be able to sing backup, and has to look great on stage, and have top-notch musical chops (because there are so many Funk/Rock/Country/Soul specialists out there that these guys can be super-picky). This guy's goal is to be the best Funk/Rock/Country/Soul band in the area. (Not too hard, if you are the ONLY one).

Members vanlatte
Is that real? Not sure what is more scary...the type of person who would post that (panhandling?) or the type that would actually respond. Waiting tables, yea. But panhandling? Members RoadRanger
Another winner, I had to this one a bit : "douchy mediocre singer/acoustic guitar player seeking company () Glad you decided to look.Looking to start an acoustic duo with some other schlep who wanted to be famous, but just became average. Open to another acoustic guitar player, drummer (hand, small kit, Black Swan - not a full kit), acoustic bass player. Practice once to twice a week and play 3-4 times a month. More if time permits in the spring/summer. This is for fun and $$$. Well, $ for me and fun for you. This is only going to be a duo. Not a trio and not a band. And not up for negotiation. Bands are for sissies. Real men work their feelings out in bars for $200.00.So here's the deal - You gotta have a good singing voice that can do more than just belt or sing wispy falsetto and you to have a clue about singing with someone else. If you don't know how to sing a basic harmony or just not sing with another person, this ain't for you. This isn't American Idol, but for F sake, be able to sing. My voice is a little high so if you perhaps have baritone voice, great. Not Scott Stapp low though. Serious. Did I mention don't suck? Also need to be a well rounded player. Not looking to deadpan cover, but you gotta be good enough to get the vibe on whatever you play. And again, don't suck. Also, be ready to learn songs from whats on the radio now to all the other stuff the crowds might like to hear. And have your own ready to roll repertoire! I don't feel like practicing for eight months to get down. I don't care if you use a songbook either. I have a place to practice with good gear. It would be nice if you have similar. Just shows that you have a little skin in the game. And most importantly, that you're not broke and gonna steal my . Also, this can't be your first venture into playing out. I'm big on chemistry so we gotta like each other and be on the same map. Most people think I'm an , so this is the part that could take awhile. Oh, and if you got going on in your life that's gonna make it hard to stay committed and practice consistently this isn't for you. So annoying... Now if I have that comes up, you just gotta be ready to roll with that though. No younger than 34 and no older than 41. Don't ask me why. I just like those numbers. And it means we probably listen to the same . I will check your ID so don't lie either. No drugs and no cancer sticks (seriously, who still smokes nowadays?) If you're green, no prob. If you wanna have a few beers, wine, or whatever, no prob. Just can't let it get in the way of getting stuff accomplished. If you pass out at my house, I'm putting your car keys up your ass. Process that for a moment. I don't go green, but I'm a complete drunk. So be cool with me getting a little belligerent occasionally. Oh, and you gotta be good looking. Not uber hot, but just not ugly. People don't like that. I'm reasonably okay looking, slightly balding, and only a little overweight. So I would prefer that you can compensate for my aesthetic shortcomings.Look forward to hearing back."
Members StratGuy22
Seems pretty reasonable. Looking for someone cool, whose been around a bit and has his shirt together. By shirt I mean shirt minus the r. I'd consider it, but it wouldn't be for free.
