Members HarpNinjaMike
I would like just basic drum and percussion backing tracks to use live for certain songs. What is the easiest way to do this? I am literally thinking of only popular covers that are 1.) hard to setup live with my looping rig 2.) away to fill some of the night with more complicated arrangements. Ideally, I'd just want to download some and play them through an iPod live. I know nothing about recording to get this done myself. I would be willing to get another looper that could store backing tracks that I would create at home, though. I use a Boomerang III, but would something like the Jam Man or Boss RC-3 let me beatbox/hum basslines for entire songs and then easily start them live? Members six20aus
http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?2824852-Backing-Trackers-crew Read thru this. Its a LOT of work to do it properly and anything less than 'properly' will sound substandard. My advice if you just want a few is buy them from a pro provider. Members Shaster
Buy or borrow or make midi tracks. Edit them in something like Anvil Studio - take all the horns, keys lead line out and leave just bass and drums. Get a small netbook or ??? and play them back on a midi player, like Winamp, iTunes and so on.
