Members FastRedPonyCar
I've got a gmajor, furman, mesa studio preamp and soon a mesa power amp. I'm looking for about 8 spaces in a case and considering the weight of those tube power amps, I need a rolling case that isn't TOO big. I was looking at the gator 8 space rolling case with the retracting handle. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gator-GRR8L-ATA-Style-Deluxe-Rack-Case?sku=545827 Anyone heard anything good or bad about this? I really don't NEED more than 8 spaced but should I need more, I've got an SKB 4 space shallow case I've got now that I can use also so running out of room woldn't be an immediate problem. Members sacredgroove
Unless you're going to add more gear I would get a 4u-6u shockmount. Those would be small enough to carry and anything bigger you could build/buy a caster plate with nice 4" wheels. Do you really want to trust rolling your gear around in a thin molded plastic case with tiny wheels? I think everybody's gear is more than those type of racks. Members starsnuffer
My bassist had a gator 8 space rolling. The quality is far inferior to the SKB stuff, but SKB doesn't make rolling racks bigger then 6u. You should consider running 2 racks or getting a friend to help you move your gear. -W
