Members ned911
You can see our latest effort at www.myspace.com/romanholidayband Our ancient video cameras just suck with the low light and can't respond fast enough to capture the light show. Any suggestions on what video camera to get so we can make a decent video demo?
Members twostone
Have you tried asking on a video camera forum? I know if it was me asking the question that's where I would ask.
Members Redsand187
Most video cameras really suck in low light. You will definitely need a 3 chip camera. Preferably a prosumer 3 chip camera. Something like a Sony PD170 is a good Standard Definition Camera that most rental houses carry for a reasonable price. Sony's low light performance is pretty much the best on the market, however there are many manufactures that are pretty close. Being able to manually select the exposure would also be good provided you have a knowledgeable camera operator.
Members Hlbly1969
I use a JVC Model GZ-HD7U It is a 3 chip camera and does real well in regular light. I have not played around with the advanced settings alot to try and get the low light levels set right. Here is a video I shot at the standard settings on the camera. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=51644965

Members Xtrafa
The JLB / Gilmour's Breakfast videos were done using a Panasonic PV-GS320 3 CCD DV camera. Not sure if these are still in production or not... It belongs to one of the guitarists. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=pv+gs320&_sacat=See-All-Categories http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=pv+gs320&_sacat=See-All-Categories
