Members Vito Corleone
I want to get a pair of cranking stands for the 10' truss we have across the back of the stage. Right now there's 6 standard par-54 cans and a couple of dimmer paks hanging on it. Might put a couple more lights up there as time goes on. Are these things any good at all? Or just complete junk? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Crank2?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&device=c&network=g&matchtype=&gclid=CIWn643kk7cCFS9eQgodFG8A_g
Members StratGuy22
This one is heavy duty. Steel, not aluminum. Canadian site, I know, you should be able to find an equivalent. http://www.axemusic.com/store/product/9144/Players-Choice-DLC001-Light-Stand-13%27-180lbs-capacity%2C-steel-construction%2C-with-tilter-leg-feature-for-leveling./

Members Vito Corleone
Unfortunately, that dealer only ships to Canada and I can't find that item available in the US.....
Members StratGuy22
Hmmmm there's got to be something similar in the USA. Like I said they are pretty heavy duty, probably 45 - 50lbs each, but rock solid compared to the aluminum speaker poles
Members StratGuy22
Is your truss triangle or the flat beam style,
Members Vito Corleone
Triangle. But I'm not opposed to buying a new truss.
Members StratGuy22
For sure. I was expecting to pay around $300 ish for those. Being $250isg with the added top was a nie surprise. Is it the bigger truss (12") or smaller triangle truss (8" I think)
Members Vito Corleone
It's the cheapy aluminum truss that is two pieces that connect in the middle. Probably this one:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/musicians-gear-lighting-stand-with-truss?src=3WWRWXGP&kpid=mf451068.001&gclid=CMfM-p7TlLcCFct7QgodIHwANw
