Do you know a lot of other bands? If not,try to get into the loop. Band breakups usually mean cheap equipment. I mean, how many people here with lots of PA/sound equipment actually bought all of it new? For instance,I own three QSC PLX3002's. I bought the first one new shortly after they came out for just over $900,which was a really good deal then. Most places were selling them for $1099 at the time. I bought the other two used from someone who tried to start a small sound company that didn't pan out. They were used maybe 15 times and I paid $425 each for them. That's just a small example.
