Unfortunately the rest of the world does not impose the same 300% import tax on electronics manufactured in Malaysia. If we did, you would find your government re-negotiating that 300% in a hurry! Car costs $3000 here. $3000, plus $9000 tax + $2500 shipping = $14500 to bring car in an make available for sale. Cars sell for 7 times what we pay here = $3000 x 7 = $21,000 sale price in Malaysia.
