Members ckcondon
I'm curious to see what the consensus is on this. I'm running my Peavey 16fx in subwoofer mode, which is a built-in crossover at the mixer that sends the mid-high to the right channel fader and the sub output to the left. It's a great feature since I run mono anyway, and eliminates an outboard crossover.I route the mid-high through eq and out to amp-speaker. The sub goes straight to amp-speaker. Am I missing much sonic shaping by not eq'ing the subs? Thanks!

Members GCDEF
No. Your subs would be getting such a narrow frequency range anyway, there's not a lot of equing that could be done.
Members flanc
The channel strip on your kick and bass guitar should provide enough eq'ing.
Members twostone
Could I bypass the eq with a active sub? Right master fader>31band eq>x-over mid/hi output>amp>tops Left master fader>x-over low output>activer sub Sorry if I step on your thread toes
