Members madoldmuso
Hi , I'm new to this site and have no idea if i'm posting in the right section or what im doing !! I have some questions about an Amplifier i built and want to make it bullit proof so i dont have a failure while on stage . The amp is nothing unusual. It is fixed bias 6L6gc output . 12ax7 preamp and 12ax7 preamp Cathodyne PI. Running at 460 on the 6L6 plates and 34ma bias each valve. Best i can calculate that to is just on 50watts rms. I have a resistor on the M1130 secondary as a safety measure and also 3 UF4007 diodes from each plate to ground. power supply is two 27.5 volt ac transformers in series to a 6 times multiplier . Is there anything else i can do to protect the output valves and transformers ?
Moderators daddymack Posted November 4, 2022 Moderators Share Posted November 4, 2022 Welcome...you are in the right place to discuss this, but absent a complete circuit diagram/schematic it will be difficult to answer your specific question.
