For those interested:

I just took ownership of a new Yamaha MG2414 FX - 24 Channel 14 bus mixer. Its sounds amazing and it extremely intuitive to use, its definitely a step up from the Behringer I owned and Mackie I was looking at, thanks to those who recommended Yamaha, I should have known better
:cop:
, they make EXCELLENT, high quality products..

That's quite a difference from the 01V... what happened?

After reviewing the 01V and speaking to some sales associates at my local pro audio store, they advised that the digital boards are definitely great; however, you have a whole set of other possible issues and learning curve with the digital boards vs analog. Additionally more can go wrong with a digital board: i.e. automated faders (buying used) and not understanding the various menus and screens, they advised if I do not need to go digital stay analog its an easier transition for me and will better fit my immediate needs.

Similar to wired mic vs cordless if you can help it they always advise stay with the wired mic, etc.....
