Members Ryan.
I'm going to head to our studio to record in about an hour... can I insert the stomp box into vocals the same way I'd insert EQ or whateveR?
Members agedhorse
why? Might work ok but might not, levels may be wrong.
Members Ryan.
Just to get the effects out of it. Our Tascam recorder has effects built in, but I'm not too familiar with them yet and I thought it'd be an easy way to throw in some chorus or whatever on vocal parts. We already have a TC Helicon Vocal Create or whatever it is.
Members agedhorse
Whatever, maybe you will enjoy the low fi, "cheap as dope" sound.

Members agedhorse
Dope (in this context) is something you would try to wash off using your soap on a rope.
Members Chickentown
I think people who mix bands cringe at the vocal stomps because they take control of the most important channel out of our hands...usually to the detriment of mix. Some miserable experiences with otherwise great singers on bad wirelesses into those things. The levels and EQ tend to be all over the place. Members JohnnyGraphic
The MixWiz has effects built into it including chorus (IIRC). You can try that first. Johnny
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted September 4, 2010 CMS Author Share Posted September 4, 2010 Just to get the effects out of it. Then learn the Tascam, or the TC and use that. Are you talking about guitar stompbos effects? The input and output aren't balanced, and are set up for high-impedance instrument signals. BTW, guitar chorus may not be what you're expecting for vocals.
