That is my Go To Mic for Kick and Floor Toms (when needed that BOOOOOOOOOOOM sound). The D6 has more "attack/punch" sound than a Beta52. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The drums are dw, he paid $3000 or something he said, so they're high end, not sure of the model. pic of them are on our website in my sig on the about us page if you must know toms we are using d2's and a 57 on the snare. no outboard gear. quality cables from mic to board to subs etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Members The Chinese Posted September 29, 2010 Members Share Posted September 29, 2010 The rest of the guys here will probably me but when I'm running out of subs and need more kick I engage the HPF and turn the "low" on that channel up about 6db - this forms a nice boost at ~80 hz that gets you quite a bit more ""chest thump" for your limited watts. Hehehe..I do that cheat as well, except I take the Low Shelf down and use a parametric band to dial in the fundy... T Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
